This sort of whole-home audio/video system distributes sources — such as satellite TV or a DVD player — to different environments or zones throughout your home. Sources are centralized in one location, giving you the convenience to enjoy of your music, movies or media in any room of your home.

Whole Home Automation “Smart Homes”

This involves the control and automation of audio/video, lighting, heating/ac (via smart thermostats), ventilation, and security, as well as home appliances such as washer/dryers, ovens or refrigerators. Wi-Fi is often used for remote monitoring and control. Today's systems generally consist of switches and sensors connected to a central hub from which the system is controlled with a user interface that is interacted either with a wall-mounted terminal, mobile phone software, tablet computer or web interface.

Security Systems

These involve the security hardware in place on a property, and personal security practices. Hardware examples would be doors, locks, alarm systems, lighting, motion detectors, security cameras, etc. that are installed on property. Personal security practices would be ensuring doors are locked, alarms activated, windows closed, extra keys not hidden outside and many other routine tasks which act to prevent a burglary. Common security methods include never hiding extra keys outside, never turning off all the lights and applying small CCTV stickers on doors and windows and placing a security sign in the front lawn.

Lighting Control

A lighting control system is an intelligent network based solution that incorporates communication between various system inputs and outputs related to lighting control with the use of one or more central computing devices. Lighting control systems are widely used on both indoor and outdoor lighting of commercial, industrial, and residential spaces. Lighting control systems serve to provide the right amount of light where and when it is needed. These systems are commonly referred to as "Smart Lighting."

Home Theater Design & Install

Home Theater refers to home entertainment audio-visual systems that seek to reproduce a movie theater experience and mood, using consumer electronics-grade video and audio equipment that is set up in a room or backyard of a private home. Today, a home theater system typically uses a video projector or a large flat-screen high-resolution HDTV system, a movie or other video content on a DVD or high-resolution Blu-ray disc, which is played on a DVD player or Blu-ray player. The audio portion is augmented with a multi-channel power amplifier and anywhere from 2.0 channel audio system to an 8.1 channel surround sound system. Whether home cinema enthusiasts have a stereo set-up or an 8.1 surround sound system, they typically use at least one low-frequency subwoofer speaker cabinet to amplify low-frequency effects from movie soundtracks and reproduce the deep pitches from the musical soundtrack.
